We are proud to announce the addition of Dr. Ann M. Carone to the team at Middlesex Eye Physicians as of September 2024. Transitioning from Shoreline Eye Associates, where she has served with distinction since 2013, Dr. Carone joins us alongside her esteemed colleague, Dr. Howard L. Distelman.
Dr. Carone is a highly accomplished optometrist with over 20 years of extensive clinical practice. She specializes in a comprehensive range of services, including general eye health assessments, management of complex ocular conditions, post-operative care, precise contact lens fittings, and emergency eye care. Her collaborative approach with ophthalmologists on both preoperative and postoperative care for advanced surgical procedures exemplifies her commitment to providing cutting-edge eye care.
Dr. Carone holds degrees from the University of Hartford and the New England College of Optometry, where she developed a solid foundation of knowledge in her field. Her clinical internships at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Newington, CT, and Newport Naval Hospital equipped her with invaluable experience, particularly in working with active duty and retired military personnel and their families, further enhancing her expertise in ocular disease and therapeutics.
In her role at Middlesex Eye Physicians, Dr. Carone is dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care to our patients at both our East Haven and Guilford locations. Her depth of knowledge and unwavering commitment to patient well-being make her an invaluable asset to our community.
